Property information

The entrance to The Mooring Post accommodation is based on the left hand side of the Lock Keepers restaurant. Our restaurant is open 9:00am - 8:30pm Tuesday to Saturday and 12:00pm - 6pm (last food order at 15:45) Sunday, if you are arriving with in these times we would be more than happy to check you in. However if you are arriving outside of these times please contact us prior to arrival so that we can send you the access codes for your accommodation. Please be aware that the restaurant is closed on Monday - so the hotel will be unmanned on these days and no breakfast is available. If you are departing on Monday please leave you key behind in the bedroom. Payment for your accommodation will be debited from your card 14 - 7 days prior to your arrival. Our cancellation policy is 2 weeks prior to arrival. If you need anything else at all or if you would like me to reserve any tables in the restaurant The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday 9:00am - 9:00pm, and Sundays 12:00pm - 3:45pm. However we offer contactless self check in so our accommodation is available, we will be in touch via your booking com inbox with the access codes prior to your stay.

Neighbourhood information

Close to the City but perching above the River Severn and alongside a stretch of our very own restored Canal. You can abandon the car and walk off road into Gloucester Docks through a nature reserve or jump on a bus almost outside the front door. On site you can explore the Canal and our fleet of restored Heritage Boats. You may be lucky enough to see our breeding kingfishers, otters or swans - who raised 6 cygnets each of the last 3 years.
