This is a second floor self-contained flat in a large and imposing Edwardian house within a mile of the centre of Bury St Edmunds, and half a mile from the railway station and a Tesco's superstore. The house is situated in a secluded and private suburban location, with access to the garden. The main part of the house is currently occupied by the owners, while the flat has a separate entrance accessed via a external staircase to the first floor. The flat is comfortable and spacious, with two large bedrooms with king-size beds (and the option for an additional folding bed in one room). There is a sitting room/kitchenette and a spacious modern shared bathroom. The flat is accessed via a steep staircase and is not suitable for people with mobility problems. Young children should be supervised on the external staircase.

Bury St Edmunds is described as a jewel in the crown of Suffolk and was rated as one of the top 12 market towns by The Telegraph. It has a rich history as wealthy mediaeval market town, with many interesting historic building and museums. The cathedral and the ruins of the Benedictine abbey, with the famous abbey gardens are well worth a visit. There is an active market that operates on Wednesdays and Saturdays every week, and an abundance of high street and boutique shopping. The town has plenty of restaurants, including some fine dining experiences. It is also the home of Greene King and its original brewery, which is still in operation. St Edmundsbury is a great staging point for visiting the beautiful and historic villages and countryside of Suffolk and South Cambridgeshire. Suffolk has some of the most unspoilt market towns and villages in the whole country, as well as some amazing beaches and seaside towns on the East Anglian coast. Both Newmarket and Cambridge are within easy travelling distance, either by car or train, as are Ipswich and Norwich. There are a number of National Trust, English Heritage, and other private historic estates and buildings within easy reach.
