Located in the heart of the town centre, our apartment is the perfect cosy retreat for exploring Berwick and the surrounding Northumberland area. Enjoy nearby cafes, patisseries, and convenient shopping, all within walking distance of the train station, local pubs, restaurants, and Berwick’s iconic attractions. The apartment offers a lovely view of Marygate, the main high street, and features freshly decorated interiors that create a warm atmosphere. You’ll have exclusive access to a fully equipped kitchen with a small seating area, and a spacious living room with comfortable sofas and a large dining table. With accommodations for up to four guests, the apartment includes a master bedroom with a super king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, as well as a second bedroom with a king-size bed that can be split into two singles. A main bathroom with a bath and shower is also available, along with a baby cot. Please note that lounge furniture is not available for overnight sleeping. The apartment is on the second floor and requires climbing stairs—two flights with a split landing—so it is NOT suitable for guests with limited mobility. You’ll find delightful cafes nearby, and numerous restaurants for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Many establishments can book up quickly during peak season, making reservations advisable. If you're driving, there is nearby parking available, but a short walk to the apartment is necessary. We’ll send parking details before your check-in.
Semi-retired, we manage the Town Centre Apartment in the heart of Berwick-Upon-Tweed on behalf of our daughter Lauren and son-in-law Timothy. Close to our daughter who is in Edinburgh we are still able to see our 3 grandchildren as much as possible. The entire family including my 2 sons migrated from Australia to live in the UK in 2013. We are now all able to enjoy the fruits of skiing in Europe as well as the beauty of changing seasons and the cosmopolitan joys of living in Berwick!
Use our flat as a base to explore the delights of Berwick or visit other attractions in Northumberland and surrounds. It is located right in the heart of Berwick town centre, is walking distance from the train station and a stones throw from local pubs, restaurants. Our apartment has a pretty view overlooking Marygate, the main high street of Berwick including views of the local church and the town. On Thursday afternoons and periodically throughout the week you can enjoy the town hall bells ringing out over Berwick as well as the Town Hall clock chiming out every quarter hour and then the chimes each hour. If you would like, breakfast we have a couple of delightful cafes and restaurants which offer delicious breakfasts. If you want to eat out and enjoy one of Berwick many fine pubs or restaurants.
