Our beautiful property was built in the 19th Century and is situated in an acre of mature garden. It has recently been refurbished to a high standard and with its open fires creates a welcoming atmosphere. Located in Royal Deeside and within the Cairngorm National Park it is a great place to explore everything the park has to offer. Woods and Lochs are minutes away with breathtaking views and wildlife a plenty. Expect to see red squirrels and woodpeckers in the large secluded garden. The house has two living rooms, one with a wood burning stove and the other with an open fire. The games room hosts a small snooker table and shelves full of local interest books. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and crockery with a large fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. Outside the garden is a great space for children to play, climb trees and build dens. Dogs are welcomed by arrangement and horses can be accommodated nearby by prior arrangement.
A family member lives in the adjacent property and we live a few miles away so can deal with any problems promptly. If you would like advice on where to visit then we are more than willing to give some suggestions
Royal Deeside has something for everyone from hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, and horseriding to whisky trails, castles and Highland hospitality. There are several gold courses in the area and even an opportunity to try gliding at the local Gliding Club. Buses run regularly from Braemar to Aberdeen. The airport and train station are located in the city approximately 45 minutes away.
