Our newly decorated house on Windsor Crescent is a spacious, bright two bedroom terraced house with off street parking. The house has a south facing back garden and consists of a lounge with dining table and fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and two double bedrooms. There are lovely views from the bedroom and garden towards the bay of Portree and the Cuillin hills. Amenities include a washing machine, dryer and iron.
I’m Caroline, I’ve lived on Skye for 35 years and have lots of local knowledge of the area. Feel free to contact me for any tips on places to eat, things to do and local secret spots! I will not be around for guest arrival but will give full directions and access arrangements and can be contacted by email or phone anytime during guests stay.
Portree is the largest town on and capital of Skye it is situated on the east side of Skye overlooking a sheltered bay. There are excellent local restaurants in Portree just a few minutes walk from the house. The Cuchuillin Restaurant which is situated in Somerled Square and another is Sea Breezes Restaurant which is situated down at the harbour. Both serve lovely fresh local seafood. Booking is advisable. There is a supermarket (Co-op) located in the village too. To travel around Skye, a car is recommended. However, if you plan on taking a bus to Portree the house is a five-minute walk from the local bus station and there are frequent local buses.
