Situated inside the Brecon Beacons National Park, within walking distance of Crickhowell, which won the best high street award in 2019 and just three miles from the market town of Abergavenny. With a wealth of independent shops, restaurants and cafes. The bus route from Abergavenny to Brecon has stops directly outside the cottage. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large lounge, fully equipped kitchen and private garden, Tysylfaen is the perfect home from home to explore this beautiful part of Wales. The Cottage is 19th century with the original stone fireplace and features. It has been sympathetically upgraded and extended, whilst maintaining the orginal features of the stone fireplace and exposed beams. The kitchen is light and airy overlooking the south facing garden, with stable door leading out onto the terrace. Parking for one car is available directly outside the property. There is no provision for charging electric cars at the property, but there are points in nearby Crickhowell and Abergavenny. There is also locked storage for bikes and plenty of room to store outdoor gear.
Jane & Mel are both retired busy NHS workers who wanted a project to occupy their less hectic lives. Both enjoy self catering holidays with their families, so have equipped the property as to what they would expect when on a self catering holiday. Both live locally and want to share their enjoyment of living in such a beautiful part of Wales. They are both have high standards of cleanliness and have ensured infection prevention and control policies are adhered to in their cleaning regime.
Tysylfaen is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Brecon Beacons and the Brecon & Monmouthshire Canal. There is bus stop outside the property with bus links to Brecon or Abergavenny, which is convenient for the Abergavenny Food Festival. The Green Man Festival is within walking distance of the property. If you are a cyclist the property has secure outbuildings to safely store your bikes and there is plenty of space for wet outdoor gear. The south facing garden is peaceful and tranquil with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.
