Ullapool Youth Hostel, located on Ullapool seafront, offers views over Loch Broom and the Beinn Dearg mountain range. Rooms in the hostel vary in size, including private rooms. There’s also a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, two small lounges, laundry and drying rooms. WiFi access is free. The youth hostel offers a range of facilities including a dining area with views over the harbour. Ullapool is a fishing village in the Highlands and a vibrant Highland community with regular music nights, festivals and arts events. Guests can enjoy its restaurants, bars, leisure centre, swimming pool, museum and the Macphail Theatre. Outdoor activities such as hillwalking, kayaking, climbing and cycling are available close by. Ferries leave daily for Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis whilst cruises visit the Summer Isles from April to October. The whole of the North West coast with its iconic mountain scenery, beaches, sea lochs and islands can be easily explored from this property.

The fine print
Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express.
All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hostelling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund).
Individual reservations (Up to 9 persons) - can cancel free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date. If cancelled within the 3 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged.
Groups reservations (more than 9 persons) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56- 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost.
No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel.
Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hostelling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancellation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used.
From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodation. Parties with children under 12 years will only be accommodated in private rooms, where available.
Hostelling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots.
Check-in from 16:30 until 22:00. Check-out before 10:00. Late check-in is available if arranged in advance. The hostel normally has limited daytime access between 10:00 and 16:30.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
