Duncan
This accommation is suprisingly quiet due to the thickness of the walls. The property is a recently converted, early 1960's nuclear bunker. During the Cold War period, local residents were intrigued when their neighbour began digging a huge rectangular hole in his back yard: over the following months a nuclear bunker emerged. Once the construction was completed, the present day house was built on top. Duncan and Amanda had the massive blast door and filtration system removed. To add light and ventilation, the soil level was reduced and four windows and a glazed door added. Furnished in minimalist Scandinavian style. The sleeping and workstation area is separated from kitchen/living area by a full length blackout curtain. En-suite shower room with toilet and sink. Private patio with two chairs and a table. Access is via 10 stone steps, so unsuitable for children or wheelchair users. Please note: restricted head height at the beams of 179 cm.
Duncan builds scrap sculptures and mechanical oddities from re-cycled materials - see Viking's Forge. Amanda is a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse-Health Visitor in Norfolk. They both ride Triumph motorbikes as a hobby and day to day transport.
Quiet, residential area with.access to a Tesco superstore 300 metres away via the pedestrianised Mathouse Lane. 2 minutes walk to the Rail Station and 15 minutes walk to town centre. 2 pub/restaurants' and The Beerhouse within 5 minute walk.
