VitaVer is a newly built 2022 modern house with all the amenities that you could want. Our two large letting rooms are located on the first floor, each of the bedrooms has a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite. both bedrooms enjoy spectacular sea views. There is a high ceiling in the lounge with velux windows, which make the room very bright. A Continental breakfast will be served at the dining table in the lounge. here is a kitchenette where there is a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and sink for you to make a cuppa and you can make use of this if you would rather bring in a take away. We offer a laundry service for an extra charge. An iron and ironing board is available for your use. We have ample off street parking. Bikes can be stored in the garage. We have a restaurant/bar and great walking close by.
We love to meet people and welcome them into our house, we try our best to accommodate our guests needs. I spend my spare time crocheting and gardening and any other crafts that takes my fancy, my husband Malcolm loves doing handyman works around the house. We like to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible.
We have many places of interest on the Orkney Islands. In the immediate vicinity of the house, we have the Burray Fossil and Heritage Centre and the Italian Chapel. In the village of Burray we have a children's playpark which offers play equipment, a tennis court and mini golf course. We have The Polly Kettle tearoom which serves a variety of excellent tasting treats. The Sands Restaurant which is a short 5 minute walk. We have many beautiful beaches around the island of Burray. St. Margaret's Hope is a quaint village approximately 3 miles away. It has a lovely coffee shop called Robertson's, The Murray Arms a great seafood restaurant and the Pentland Ferry, a 1 hour journey from the mainland of Scotland. Kirkwall is a 15 minutes drive away on the bus or car where you will find the magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, the museum of Kirkwall, Earls Palace, Highland Park and Scapa Distillery who offer guided tours in the summer months. A 45 minutes drive away will find you in Stromness, a quaint town with cobbled streets and great atmosphere, and in between Kirkwall and Stromness there is Maeshowe, Ring of Brodgar, Standing Stones and many other archaeological sights for you to enjoy.
