Washpool is situated in a small hamlet itself on the edge of a popular, attractive Cotswolds village Milton Under Wychwood. The property has undergone a complete modernisation and is now a chic, cute cottage for four people. Situated on a small farm and opposite the village’s old wash pool, the cottage is a traditional Cotswolds’ building where many of the period features have been carefully retained. On the ground floor is an open plan kitchen diner which leads to a light, yet cosy living room (with doors to the terrace also). Upstairs are two bedrooms and two ensuite bathrooms making it ideal for two couples as well as families. Outside is a private courtyard style garden, surrounded by a large/high stone wall and a hot tub and table and chairs. Property excepts 1 well behaved dog in the kitchen only at an additional charge of 50 per week. Please be aware that owners have their own dogs. Note: This property has a Good House Keeping Bond of This property will except 1 well behaved dog in the kitchen only. Please be aware that owners have their own dogs. PLEASE NOTE: Bed configuration will be defaulted to 2 single beds and 1 super king. If you require a different configuration, please contact us 72 hours prior to NOTE: Hot tub - instructions for use are in the welcome folder. (wood starter pack provided for use of hot tub, any additional wood will need to be purchased yourself)

Neighbourhood information

Milton-Under-Wychwood is a village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire. The village has one pub called The Hare which is a gastropub. Wychwood public library is located in a converted shop. Local attractions are Foxholes Nature Reserve, Wychwood Wild Garden park and for those interested in outdoor activities The Wychwood Golf Club, all within a few miles of the village. For the art enthusiasts look to Tosley Museum housed in the early Tudor market building, famous for its doll’s houses and large photographic collections. Also nearby is the St Nicholas Church, which is the resting place of the designer of the Forth Rail Bridge, Sir Benjamin Baker. Little has survived of the Norman church except its ornate north doorway. Milton-Under-Wychwood is 4 miles north of Burford and 7 miles south of Chipping Norton.
