Guests at Wellrose can enjoy this lovely part of the country; looking out over unspoilt farmland and close to the beautiful village of Much Hadham. Some great local pubs, an amazing farm shop (with a great coffee shop/restaurant!) all add to the experience. If you enjoy a country walk there are so many public footpaths you won't run out of options. We hope you will enjoy the cosiness of Wellrose Barn which many guests comment on. All this is and we are located within easy reach of the A10, A120, M11 and Stansted Airport. The beautiful city of Cambridge is 35 minutes drive and London's Liverpool Street station is only 30 minutes by train from Bishops Stortford (a ten minute drive) or Moorgate 50 minutes by train from Hertford (a 15 minute drive so you can enjoy the country lifestyle without being cut off from all that the South East of England offers. Needless to say, we have wifi for those that don't want to leave the laptop, mobile or tablet at home. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to ask. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE A TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY POLICY.
We know our guests generally like the independence and security which Wellrose Barn offers giving you a 'home from home'. Your own front door, your car in a garage and all secured behind electrically operated barn gates. Our house is across the drive from the Barn so we are normally available to help with any information you need or assistance with finding local amenities.
With one of the most beautiful villages in Hertfordshire, Much Hadham, within walking distance Wellrose Barn is well placed for guests visiting the The Henry Moore Foundation, the village's famous church and the local Bull Inn pub. A five minute drive in one direction, through the village of Standon can take you to one of Hertfordshire's best known and most loved farm shops in Puckeridge or head the other way and 10 minutes in the car can take you to The Fox and Hounds gastropub with all the delights that offers you! The towns of Bishops Stortford, Hertford, and Harlow are within a 10, 15 and 20 minute drive respectively so a little retail therapy followed by a little sustenance is close at hand.
