The breakfast was very good, served just as I asked. Most important was the great welcome from Clare and her husband. I enjoyed the view of ponies and hens from my room window.

Perfect location as wedding guests attending Pekes Manor. The beds were super comfy, with a beautiful view of the gardens/paddock from our window. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits was very much appreciated!

Our detached property is semi-rural at the end of a private lane, leading directly to the A22, with private parking. Our fresh modern rooms are ensuite with either a bath tub with overhead shower or a large shower cubicle with rain shower. Luxury kingsize beds with either a Vi-Spring or Hypnos mattress, with clean, fresh white cotton linen, TV, free Wifi, desk/dressing table, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries and bottled water. Views over our garden and farmland from your room.
Our home has been a large part of my interest over the past 17 years, having spent fabulous years, together with my husband, our four gorgeous children, family and friends. Now our children have lives of their own, we wish to share our home and hope our guests enjoy their say with us, as we would hope to enjoy our own travel experiences. A huge lover of animals, keeping a small number of chickens & geese. I like to relax and spend time with our horses, who spend part of their year, here at home.
Our property was built in 1952 on the site of the old Dicker Pottery, that dates back to the 1800's, famed for its varied earthenware. We live in the same lane as the late Uriah Clark, the founder of the Pottery. Our rather large pond, would of been from the clay pits, as are many of the ponds around the site of the old pottery. We have recently carryed out the major task of removing at least 20 years of silt and continue repairs to the old wall around the pond. Recovering a few items of earthenware, having no idea just how old these pots are. To us they are a treasure. These can be seen on display at West Lodge. West Lodge is layed back from the A22, conveniently situated. There are so many places of interest around us and too many to name, a few are the Seven Sisters Country Park, Beachy Head, Lighthouse and beaches inc Seaford, Birling Gap, Eastbourne and Pevensey. Herstmonseux Castle and Science Museum. The area is popular for weddings. There are many footpaths to investigate. A selection of pubs and restaurants. Our closest local town is Hailsham, approximately 5-10 minutes by car.
