Lisa and Ray made us very welcome, and we enjoyed our stay. It's very accessable to town (on the buses) and a 10 minute walk to the football stadium.

Breakfast was a selection of danish pastries and a cafetiere of fresh coffee, offered in the owner's kitchen. Sitting at the large breakfast bar, it was very pleasant and an opportunity to chat with other guests.

Welcome to our home, a Victorian terraced house built in the early 1890s as a Naval Officers residence. The property still boasts many original features yet has been modernised for today. We have 2 rooms, 1 very large double en-suite shower room situated on the 2nd floor and 1 large double with shared wet room and separate toilet [shared with our daughter] situated on the 1st floor. Both guest rooms are provided with ample wardrobes and drawer space, hangers provided. We provide room only accommodation with fresh linen and towels, however daily cleaning is not provided. Stays of 1 week or longer rooms will be cleaned and bedding changed weekly. A roof garden/terrace and rear courtyard garden is available to enjoy in fair weather. Free on street parking is available outside the property and in the surrounding streets, however the earlier you arrive the easier it is to park as this is a residential area. This is a NO Smoking house. No hot food/takeaways to be consumed in guest rooms, our kitchen table can be used for this purpose. You will be given a house key to come and go as you please but we ask that you keep noise down to a minimum with quiet hours between 10pm and 8am.
Myself and my husband Ray and daughter have lived at this property for 25 years as a family home and recently we have decided to host guests. We enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. We welcome you and are here to help you with any queries you may have about the city. We also recognise that you may want your own personal space, as do we sometimes. Ray works part time at a recompression facility and is a keen cyclist and golfer and I am out and about throughout the day so we would require that we arrange a mutually convenient time for check in so we can be here to greet you. Our aim is to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible and meets your requirements. We would ask that you please respect our home and the few house rules we have set, we are not a Hotel or BnB, this is our home and we live here.
Our place is situated near Stoke village with local pubs and and eateries/takeaways and local supermarket nearby, including a Wetherspoons 2 mins walk away. Also within 5 minutes walk is Plymouth Argyle FC and the lovely Central Park with Plymouth Life Centre gym and pool. Bus routes serving all Plymouth areas including City Centre, Derriford hospital and all city Attractions are within 5 mins walk. Taxis are readily available. Plymouths Ocean city attractions include Plymouth Hoe and lighthouse [Smeatons Tower] and historic Barbican and waterfront with its vast array of cafes bars and restaurants, boat trips around the dockyard, to Drakes Island and Mount Edgecumbe. Plymouth War memorials, The National Marine Aquarium, Tinside pool [open air lido], Vue and Reel cinema complexes, Drakes Circus shopping Mall, Brittany ferries, Plymouth University and City college, museum are all close by. For those who wish to venture slightly further afield, roughly 20 mins drive, the Dartmoor national park, with infamous Dartmoor Prison, has stunning scenery and great walks to enjoy.
