Alykes is a lovely seaside village,with hundreds of sun loungers and parasols . There is a main road through the village lined with bars, shops and restaurants but its fairly low key. Alykes Beach golden sandy beach of crystal aquamarine waters ,no need to wear beach shoes. ,Crystal clear waters,long sandy beach,shallow at the side and slowly escalating to deeper depth, ideal for small children to play and swim .Alykes beach is ideal for couples and kids alike ,with beach bars and restaurants (Fishalida / Asteria ,world famous . In addition lovely walks along the river and into Alykanas (15 minutes away).Or walks around the salt pans.Hikes into nearby ridges and mountains .Nearby attractions, day trip to Navagio ship wreck beach ,Xigia sulpher beach, Keri caves ,Lagana caretta trip ,Cameo island ,Zakinthos centre tour ,Agios Dionyssios cathedral 16 km away .
