An Authentic Hideaway in Sykia, Halkidiki In a quiet corner of the traditional village of Sykia, Halkidiki, we have lovingly created a unique one-floor holiday home that opens its doors for the very first time, Casa Anastacia Sykia. Blending comfort with tradition, our goal was to offer more than just accommodation — we wanted to offer an experience. Inspired by the local character, we built and decorated the interior using natural materials that harmonize with the surrounding landscape. Stone, wood, and earthy tones create a warm, nostalgic atmosphere that reflects the region’s heritage, while modern amenities and advanced systems ensure your comfort throughout your stay. Right next to the house lie the ruins of the owner’s ancestral home — one of the few remaining traditional structures in the area. A silent witness to generations past, this historic remnant stands like a small open-air monument, offering guests a rare glimpse into the living history of Sykia. Our vision is to make you feel like you’re visiting your own countryside home — free to relax, unwind, and move at your own pace. We minimize unnecessary communication so you can enjoy a sense of privacy, peace, and freedom, always with the reassurance that we are here if you need anything. This is not just a place to stay — it’s a place to connect with the soul of the land, where tradition meets comfort and where every guest is more than a visitor: they are part of the story.
Hello and welcome! My name is Nikos, and I’m the proud owner of this small, traditional home — a project that was built not just with bricks and wood, but with care, passion, and a deep love for my homeland. I’m a family man and a father, and even though I’m new to the world of tourism, I’ve entered it with great enthusiasm and a genuine desire to make people happy during their holidays. I’ve always believed that the most beautiful memories are created when we feel at home — relaxed, free, and cared for — and that is exactly the feeling I want to offer to each and every guest. This house was designed and built by me, with attention to detail and respect for the local tradition. I tried to blend natural materials with the surrounding environment to create something warm, simple, and authentic. But more than just a building, this home carries a piece of my heart — and that’s why I named it after my daughter. It’s a symbol of my love for family and my hope that every guest who stays here will feel that same warmth and connection. Next to the house, you’ll find the remains of my old family home — one of the last of its kind in the area. It stood strong for generations and carries countless stories and memories. I chose to preserve it as a reminder of the past and as a quiet witness to the history of this place. My goal is simple: to offer you a unique and unforgettable experience in a setting that feels honest and real. I may be at the beginning of this journey, but I’m here with an open heart and a sincere wish that you leave feeling rested, inspired, and maybe even a little more connected — to nature, to history, and to the simple joys of life. Thank you for considering my home for your stay. I hope to welcome you soon.
Sykia, Halkidiki – A Village with History, Nature and Authentic Charm Sykia is one of the most historic and traditional villages in Sithonia, Halkidiki. Nestled between the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea and the green slopes of Mount Itamos, Sykia combines natural beauty with a strong sense of heritage. The village’s name, which means “fig tree” in Greek, is thought to refer either to the many fig trees in the region or to local legends passed down through generations. With roots dating back to ancient times, the area of Sykia has been inhabited since the Classical and Hellenistic periods. It later flourished during the Byzantine and Ottoman eras, developing a strong rural community that relied on agriculture, fishing, and craftsmanship. Many of the old stone houses, narrow alleys, and beautiful churches that still stand today tell the story of its proud past and its close-knit community. Today, Sykia welcomes travelers looking for a different kind of holiday — one that blends tradition with tranquility. The nearby coastline offers some of the most stunning and unspoiled beaches in Halkidiki, including Klimataria, Linaraki, Tourkolimnionas, and Valti, all with crystal-clear waters and a relaxed atmosphere. In Sykia, visitors can enjoy the simplicity of village life, taste local products, explore nature trails, and experience the genuine hospitality of the locals. Whether you’re seeking peaceful beaches, cultural exploration, or a base to discover Sithonia, Sykia offers an unforgettable and authentic Greek experience — where history, nature, and tradition meet.
