Ancient Gortyna Home, is a small traditional stone-built house, in the village Gortyna (Mitropolis). It can host 1-3 persons and it's located in the heart of the archaelogical site of Gortyna, right in front of the excavation of Byzantine basilica. The house is 47km (40min by car) from the city of Heraklion, and just a breath away from many popular beaches (Matala, Ledas, e.t.c) The nearest airport Nikos Kazantzakis is 50km away. It's about a spacious single room house, with a double size bed (there is extra folding bed for one extra person). The living room is cosy with a couch, coffee table and supportive table. Our kitchen area is fully equipped with household goods such as, electric stove, microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster, and of course dining area with table and chairs. The bathroom has a shower and a washing machine, which can be freely used by our visitors. There are also safety lights on the walls. Last but not least, there is an outdoor area where you can enjoy your coffee or your meal, having a great view of the triangular temple's excavation area.
