Carla’s is a handsome stone-built Cretan house in the small village of Tsivaras, 3 KM from the sandy beaches of Kalyves and Almirida, and close to the traditional centre of Vamos with it’s local shops and renowned tavernas. Carla’s has a private swimming pool set within large secluded grounds with lovely countryside views surrounded by Olive, Avocado and Orange trees. A perfect family retreat. Carlas House is a short drive away to some fantastic places to visit
We have owned Carlas house for 23 years and brought our kids up visiting every year for some wonderful vacations especially our walks. We live in the UK having recently retired and enjoy property renovation and travelling
The house is located on a slip road in a quiet village between Kalyves and Vamos. There is a local dry food shop and the Olive Oil Refinery a few hundred meters away from the house. Some places to visit include Resturants to visit – Parisia in Vamos Elpis & Harokopas in Plaka Thalami Taverna seafood restaurant in Almyrida Mythos taverna in Kalyves Tzitzikas and Drosostalia – Armeni Places to go Tsivaras Olive Oil Factory Dourakis Winery Lake Kournas Georgioupoli Argyroupoli Waterfalls & The Garden of Arkoudena Rethimno Preveli Palm forest Beaches nearby Kalyves Beach Almyrida Beach Kera beach
