Casa Minervos is a unique traditional home with unlimited sea view. The beauty of the house combined with the exceptional location are the main reasons why we decided to rent our home to travellers and help them enjoy Crete in the way we enjoy it in the last years.
Dreamy holidays was always our goal while planning a trip. That is how the idea came up. When we plan our holidays we want to experience most of the place we are visiting. Meet new people and their culture, explore new places, learn new things, taste local flavors, enjoy nature, create new experiences and of course relax and fill our batteries. So when we return home we have created a memory that will last long in our minds and heart. Operating since 2019, we have enjoyed two years of hosting guests and assisting them to explore the beauty of Crete, as well as learning what is important for a relaxing getaway. We have created a large group of partners, always happy to serve you and provide a warm welcome to new experiences.
The neighbourhood Casa Minervos is located in Megala Chorafia, a village next to the Cretan Main Road, which leads to well-known beaches, such as Falasarna, Elafonisi and many more. The village consists of traditional stone-built and contemporary modern houses. Local markets & Shopping In the village within 5 minutes walking distance from the house, there is a mini-market with fresh groceries and meat, a bakery shop and a traditional restaurant that offers Cretan food and refreshing beers. Within 5 minutes drive, you will reach the port of Souda, where you can find a SuperMarket and a fish shop. The charming city of Chania, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, is less than 15 minutes drive. Every Saturday, there is a market where you can pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as the local yoghurts and cheese. The old town has a mix of shops ranging from a bootmaker to boutique clothing. Bars & Restaurants You'll be spoilt for choice on where to eat in the villages around the Villa. There are several tavernas that offer local food cooked with traditional Cretan recipes. If you prefer fish, there are some waterfront restaurants that overlook the sea nearby
