The nearby beach of Kalamaki is known for sea turtles that lay there eggs! It is a protected area with a beautiful sandy shore and crystal clear waters and at walking distance from the house. There is a small super market at walking distance from the house, and in the nearby areas you can find a plethora of restaurants, cafes, bakeries and bars.
Renting a car or a bike is a great way to explore the island, but taxis are also available.
