The house itself is built into the outer defensive wall of the ancient castle, dating back to the 1500s, making your stay not just a getaway, but a journey through time. Perfectly suited for two guests, the house is centrally located on the island, just a short drive from the airport, public transportation, and some of Syros’ most beautiful beaches. Ideal for couples or small families (with one child), it provides an excellent base to explore the island’s culture, cuisine, and natural beauty. The Space Spanning 52 square meters, the home comprises two rooms: a cozy bedroom with a built-in double bed, and a welcoming living area featuring spacious built-in sofas. A fully equipped kitchen and a compact bathroom complete the space, along with complimentary Wi-Fi for your convenience. Minimal interventions have been made in the home’s restoration, preserving its authentic charm and traditional identity. This is the perfect retreat for travelers seeking peace and quiet, as well as for those eager to wander the narrow alleyways of Ano Syros and immerse themselves in the village’s original medieval ambiance.

Ano Syros is a medieval settlement built on a rock by the Venetians. Countless steps lead to the top, between narrow streets with white houses with colourful doors, composing a different type of city. The settlement was created based on the needs of the era, which were protection against raids and the security of residents. Thus, houses were built in such a way as to constitute a natural fortificationThe magnificent view to the sea is unique from Ano Syros, giving the visitor the chance to see the neighbouring islands of Tinos, Delos, Mykonos, Paros and Naxos. Among the sights you can visit are the monasteries of the Jesuits and Capuchins, as well as the Catholic church of St. George, at the top of the settlement. It is in the narrow streets of Ano Syros that the patriarch of rebetiko song Markos Vamvakaris has grown up and first sung, and his house has been preserved and operates as a museum. During summer, exhibitions and events are organized in the framework of local festivals.
