Muazzo is a historic residence that once had the honour of hosting prominent figures of modern Greek history. Highlighting traditional architectural elements that reflect its rich past, this unique home is positioned to embrace the charm of the countryside. Nestled in the heart of the village of Pigi, it offers easy access to everyday essentials, with shops, tavernas, and authentic local restaurants just 50–100 m. away—inviting you to savour traditional Cretan flavours right at your doorstep. If escaping the everyday and heading deep into nature for a holiday of sheer relaxation is your idea of bliss, enhance the whole experience by making sure your holiday home is the sweetest place on earth. For a unique self-catered escape, we've embraced the tiny details that define our Muazzo Historic Residence, fusing iconic settings with stylish, well-stocked interiors, promising an immersive break that's so much more than just a holiday. Idyllic for bird watching, walking and cycling activities, this nature reserve lies amidst at a blooming two acre garden. The Residence features 4 bedrooms, which can accommodate up to 8 guests in real beds. All bedrooms are air conditioned, tastefully decorated and equipped with comfortable mattresses for a good nigh’t sleep! A baby cot can also be provided upon request. Two more guests can be accommodated in the sofa bed of the first floor’s living room. Fitness equipment (dumbbells and abs machine) available upon request. - Pool operates seasonally (end of March - middle of November) - Air conditioning units serve heating purposes. Climate Resilience Fee A 15,00/night/villa tax (subject to change) isn’t included in booking prices. It must be paid in euros at check-in to your Host.


Muazzo Historic Residence is located in the historic village of Pigi where shopping facilities for everyday's necessities can be found within a distance of 50-100 meters , providing tavernas, cafe, a super market, a bakery, a butcher’s as well as a pharmacy. The village’s playground is also within hand’s reach. A gas station can be found in the nearby village of Adele which is also 4 minutes away by car. A bus stop is also available within 100 metres walking distance, which connects Rethymno city with nearby villages, so as to make your vacation as carefree as possible. Pigianos Kampos beach, which is the closest to the villa, 4 minutes driving, is a vast, sandy and well organised beach, with shallow waters making it ideal for families. It’s a perfectly organised coastal tourist resort, with many sun beds, umbrellas, changing rooms, showers, lifeguards, beach bars, restaurants and water sports. Next to Pigianos Kampos, in Adelianos Kampos there is also an Atm machine. Also Rethymno town, offers a great selection of choices in shops, restaurants and anything else you might need and can be easily reached by car within 15 minutes.
