Villa Pyrgou With Shared Swimming pool is located in the lovely, traditional village of Pyrgou, 20 kilometers away from Heraklion city. The accommodation offers a unique aesthetic combining stone with wood. In the shared courtyard, you can enjoy swimming in the pool and use the BBQ that is available. Villa Pyrgou consists of two stone-built maisonettes of 85 and 130 sq. m. Both properties consist of 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 4 persons each one. Both properties are fully equipped with all you need in order to enjoy your stay at the top and feel like home! Kindly note that the washing and the dryer machine are located in the storage room of the property and are in common use for both houses. You may use them after asking the housekeeper. We would also like to inform you that the use of the fireplace has an additional charge, which is made upon your arrival at the accommodation. Ask us for more information. A great choice for families or groups of people who want to spend a lovely holiday!
Pyrgou lies 20 km from Iraklion and 1km from Agios Myron at 400m a.s.l with 354 inhabitants. It is built on a hillside overlooking the area, with panoramic view to the village of Kroussonas and the ravine of "Agia Irini". At the village's perimeter there are well maintained tower-like houses. Significant archaeological and historical monuments of the area are: The chapel of "Agios Ioannis" with the emblem of Frangiskanon family dated from 1601, the chapel of "Panagia" which was burned by the Turks and has been renovated later and the chapel of "Agios Georgios Messambelitis" with old wine press, clay channels and storehouse. The monastery of "Hryssopigi" part of the monastery of Gorgolaini. Many traditional houses and two mills at "Kazola" The cave "Mertzani spilios" at Mertzani.
