Welcome! The Sitholia apartment was created for you who want to experience the genuine local lifestyle in a small peaceful village, all year round. It is extremely bright and completely renovated, with love and attention to detail, in order to offer its guests relaxation and comfort in a peaceful environment full of greenery. It is located in Vatopedi, a small village of about 200 inhabitants built on a hill on the east bank of the river Havria, in a place with olive groves and vineyards. The nearest beach is only 5 minutes by car. It is worth noting that it is surrounded by monasteries which are located at an extremely short distance.
I grew up in Vatopedi, a beautiful small village and my love for the place and tradition led me to create my business Sitholia Premium Halkidiki Flavors in which we have been sharing authentic, local products of unparalleled quality with you for years now. Now the apartment that we created with love and care is available to all of you. Come and share the experience of living in a small, welcoming, Greek village.
Outside of Vatopedi is a women's monastery, dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, which is the largest in Greece with weaving and iconography workshops. Its metochi dates back to the 12th century (10 minutes' walk). To the south of the village on a hill there is the men's monastery of Agios Arsenios of Cappadocia, founded in 1986 (5 minutes by car). With only 50 minutes away by car, from Thessaloniki as well as Mount Athos, it is a smart choice due to the location of the village, since it offers the visitor tranquility and authenticity due to the minimal tourism and the small population of local residents, while at the same time the immediate access to the main road of N. Moudanion-Sithonia one can be in a short time in cosmopolitan places, famous beaches of either the first or the second leg since it is located between the two peninsulas of Kassandra-Sithonia.
