My name is Sofia and I'm from Sweden. I have lived in Platanias since 1995 and been working as a guide, waitress, receptionist, school teacher in the Swedish school in Chania and now as a Hotel Manager in our family business Sonio Beach in Platanias. After 20 years of work in the tourism area, I have learned a lot of things although still every day there are new challenges with new guests and new situations. I always aim to give all my guests the absolute top quality service. It would be a pleasure to getting to know you and to have you with us in our hotel. "Destination Platanias", is my last project. Sonio Beach family with its Greek-Swedish and Italian background has created for you a concept we today call "Que Bella Collection". It's a collection that slowly grew up with passion and includes studios, apartments, pool areas, and a restaurant, all in sweet beautiful style. Sonio Beach- Que Bella Collection is offering many new renovated rooms. We aim to make all rooms full of details that make your stay with us feel unique. A good quality pillow or bed madras can make a miracle.

Neighbourhood information

Sonio Beach-Que Bella Collection is situated at Beach Front and just a few hundreds of meters from Platanias square. Nearby you can find water sports, restaurants, shops and smaller bars. Its a very calm area and the main road takes you to Platanias square or to the next village Gerani. Here in Platanias you will find everything you need for a fantastic holiday. This small but long shaped village has it all. Beautiful nature, busy nightlife, taverns, and restaurants, kilometers of long sandy beach, activities for all ages the choices are many. One attraction that the villages are in particularly proud of is the War Museum in the old village of Platanias, the museum is in tunnels under our church Agios Dimitris. Make sure you pay it a visit. The church offers a fantastic view of the village and the whole Chania area. Walk among the small old houses in the upper village and its narrow alleys. Down at the main street is a different story. Here life is in a faster and more modern tempo. You can find just about anything you need. Platanias is not so big but it has most services you require, restaurants to pick and choose from, traditional coffee shops and up to date bars/clubs.
