Staying in the Strawhouse will be a unique nature experience. The Strawhouse was built by our own hands with a lot of love and attention to detail, trying to keep it simple, practical and natural. We are not connected to electricity, all the power we get trough solar panels. In bad weather days we use the generator to fill up the batteries. Hot water is as well trough solar. During rainy, cloudy days we will provide you with hot water trough a wood heater. The house is heated with a wood stove, giving you at the same time the opportunity to cook and bake with it. The house is located on a big farm, there is a vegetable garden next to the Strawhouse which we work often in it. Also we have chickens, ducks, cats, dogs and bees. The dogs and ducks are running free on the property.
We will be very happy to help you with whatever you need or questions you have. We would like to make your stay a beautiful experience. We stay in a separate house about 30m from the Strawhouse.
The property is in the nature, surrounded by hills and forest, at the feet of the impressive Kosiakas mountain range. It is a agricultural area, so you will hear the sound of sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, the shepherd, in the springtime the nightingale. The last 1,5km to reach the property is a dirtroad, it is accessible by car. The Strawhouse under the mountain is a great base to explore the area. Distance to Trikala is 20km, Meteora 27km, Lake Plastiras 45km, Elati 29km, Kefalopotamos River 5km, next Mini Market- Dendrohori 6km.
