Villa Nikolas is a truly superb villa in a quiet and peaceful location offering stunning views and the most mesmerising sunsets imaginable. With its immaculately painted exterior and lovely wooden shutters, Villa Nikolas is exceptionally photogenic and really well-appointed to boot. Immediately in front of the house, there’s a large private swimming pool with a surrounding terrace offering plenty of space to relax with a good book. What’s more, with its elevated position above a carpeted hillside of beautiful olive trees; the contrast as it drops down towards the sea is simply gorgeous. Inside, tiled floors, pastel coloured walls and beamed ceilings give a distinct nod to traditional Greece, however the furniture is both high quality and contemporary and very comfortable. As for the location, it’s a two minute drive (or 10 minute walk) to a charming family taverna, snack bar/café’ and mini-market, and around 20 minutes walk down to the local beach. The chic cosmopolitan resort of FIskardo is 5 minutes drive away offering the stunning beaches of Emblisi and Foki Bay as well as an eclectic selection of restaurants and shops around the harbour.

Fiscardo, an utterly idyllic harbour village located in the north of the island simply oozes charm and is particularly popular with discerning travellers seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday in a picture postcard setting. The neighbouring hamlets and villages (Vassiliki, Maganos and Antipata to name but a few) surrounding Fiscardo offer fabulous views of the magical and Mythical Ithaca, literally a hop, skip & jump away, and along with the numerous idyllic little coves scattered around this region, one can easily understand why this magnetic destination attracts a ridiculously high number of repeat guests each year. The exquisite seaside village of Assos can also be found nearby, yet another of the Erissos peninsulas charming and iconic gems. Its jumble of tiny houses with their colourful bougainvillea clad façades, are a photographers dream and there are spectacular views from its elevated Venetian castle, well worth the scenic 45 minute stroll!
