Built around a small patio shaded by a pomegranate tree, Villa Rodialos is a place filled with light. Large windows look out over the sea and doors open to terraces all around. The sea is just a few metres away; with wooden steps to go down to the water.
Rodialos has four bedrooms and a large, open-plan living space and kitchen with doors to a large terrace facing the sea. Each room has windows in opposite walls (north-south) to ensure a pleasant air stream and moderate room temperature at all times.
Rodialos can be reserved as one villa, or as two independent suites suitable for max. 4 persons each.
The architecture, the colours and the surrounding natural landscape, all evoke a strong recollection of Minoan Crete.
Life at Rodialos is about being outside, enjoying the company of your hosts, preparing food and eating it.
Upon request, in Rodialos you can also enjoy workshops on authentic Cretan cooking. Our knowledge of healthy yet rich meals, our research into old recipes combined with your tastes and wishes, all come together in a Cretan 'Haute Cuisine'!
Mary is an expert cook who loves to guide her guests through the world of Cretan cuisine. Organic veggies and herbs grow in the garden, and you can join Mary when she goes shopping in the local street markets. Her cooking classes vary from simple explanations while enjoying the healthy and delicious food, to full-week workshops that will turn you into a Cretan food expert.
Panormos is a small traditional Cretan fishing village with narrow cobbled streets, shops, and an excellent choice of tavernas. It lies above the harbour and overlooks three beautiful little coves with lovely sandy beaches for sunbathing and calm waters for swimming. It is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the lazy atmosphere, go for long walks or just sit at the cafes overlooking the harbour and enjoy the beautiful view. There are supermarkets, boutiques, shops, a post office, a chemist shop, and a doctor.
To walk to Panormos along a beautiful coastal path takes approx. 20 minutes, to drive it takes approx. 10 minutes.
Rodialos is centrally located on the northern coast, which makes it possible to go on excursions anywhere on the island, and return the same day.
