Our guest house is situated in Saplunara bay,Mljet and provides the perfect accommodation for taking the chance to explore this beautiful island and it's hidden beauties and charm. Its name direves from the latin work sabalum which means sand. It's known for two sandy beaches, Big and Small Saplunara. The sun, sea, landscape, history, sport attractions and great accommodation will contribute to the unforgettable experience and memorable vacation :)

Neighbourhood information

Guest House Kralj is situated in a lovely and peaceful village Saplunara on the island of Mljet. Mljet island is the eighth largest Croatian island, situated near the peninsula of Pelješac, Dubrovnik and Korčula. It is characterized by a Mediterranean climate, dry summers and mild winters and is one of the sunniest Adriatic islands. Beautiful scenery, crystal clear sea, lakes, islands, rich cultural heritage make the island truly paradise on earth. In northwest part of the island you can find a national park with a lot of beautiful things to explore. Ancient Greek poet Homer writes about this island in Odysee, and how he had sailed in this region. Apostle Paul mentions this island on his voyage through Adriatic and visits the island on his way to Rome. Just as the destiny brought many visitors to this island throughout centuries, today's visitors are coming to experience stillness of Mljet. Also, just an hour and a half with a speed boat you can reach words famous city Dubrovnik. Speed boat stops in Sobra, 18 km from Saplunara.
