One of the oldest cities in Croatia, Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, was founded by the Parani from the island of Pharos approximately 2,400 years ago. Although it is a small tourist place today, its history fascinates and attracts many visitors. The historic core of the city and Starogradsko polje were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008. Don't miss Tvrdalj of the Croatian poet Petar Hektorović and its pond, as well as the lovely Škor square, where you can capture beautiful shots and photos.
