Welcome to Zagreb! Our Maksimirhouse is located in the former railroad district of the city. Many of the historic railroad houses on the street side are listed buildings. Here (in 'our' quarter) you will experience an incomparable flair of tradition and European metropolis. You live 'in the middle of it all' and there is no mass tourism around you. The house is located at the end of a one-way street, which makes it relatively quiet for a city of millions. The Maksimir district is part of Zagreb's center in the east of the city and is home to the Dinamo Zagreb soccer stadium, among other things. This is the cradle of Croatian soccer. Treat yourself to a walk or a work-out around the 5 lakes in the beautiful historic Maksimir Park. The city park is one of the largest in Europe and can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. Maksimir Park is also home to the famous Zagreb City Zoo, which is ideal for family outings with children. The city center and the cathedral can be reached in a few minutes by tram or car.
