About this property
Located on the main square of the beautiful coastal town of Donegal, the 3-star Abbey Hotel is located right next to Donegal Castle. The hotel offers free WiFi throughout the hotel and a restaurant using fresh, Irish produce. Comfortable bedrooms each feature a flat-screen TV, telephone and individual private bathroom. Most rooms also overlook Donegal Bay and the River Eske. The hotel restaurant, The Market House, has a menu of excellent international cuisine. Guests can dine in a room full of character, and drink from the wide selection of champagnes, wines and craft or traditional beers. The Food Hall also offers light snacks and lunches and breakfast is available at an additional fee. The Abbey Bar, with its unique 2-tier interior design, offers regular entertainment with music almost every night of the year. The small harbour town of Donegal lies at the heart of County Donegal. It boasts many fine restaurants and as many as 21 bars in the ‘Diamond’ (the town centre), on the hotel doorstep. We pride ourselves on offering a vibrant experience, with entertainment events held in the hotel during weekends and high season. While this creates a lively atmosphere, some noise may be audible from these activities. Our convenient town centre location also means you may hear the natural sounds of a bustling urban environment.
