The location was perfect for us, the local village had great pubs and facilities and only 3 min drive away. The house itself is set out really well with great facilities, and perfect for a large family or multiple groups, with amble room.

Railway View is an historic listed home in the heart of Clare. Built in 1888 as shop, butter merchants and public house serving the West Clare Railway, it played a central role in the War of Independence and Civil War, with the Minihan family very active in both conflicts. Described by Frank Barrett as "Part barracks, part hospital and part hotel", such historic figures as Eamon deValera, Countess Markievicz and Peadar O'Donnell have stayed here as guests of John Minihan, a senior republican.
I love to travel myself and I want to ensure that guests who stay at my house have a great experience
Corofin is a charming rural village. Its 13 lakes and river Fergus are renowned for angling and were the setting for Barker’s book ‘An Angler’s Paradise’. It has a number of restaurants and pubs with musical entertainment, especially at weekends. This includes traditional Irish music for which Clare is famed. Corofin is the ‘Gateway to the Burren’. The Burren national park is a unique geological landscape of considerable scientific and historic significance. It is home to many species of rare native flora. It has the most dense distribution of prehistoric tombs found anywhere is Ireland with approximately 20 wedge tombs in the parish of Corofin alone. The Poulnabrone Dolmen, Ailwee Caves, Cliffs of Moher, Mullaghmore, castles, monastic sites and many fine beaches and golf courses (including the world famous Lahinch links course) are all within a short drive of Railway View. The bustling and charming town of Ennis with its narrow streets and excellent night life is eight miles to the east. Boats can be taken from Doolin to the Aran Islands. Amongst the post popular activities enjoyed by visitor are angling, surfing, golf, hiking, cycling and equestrian.
