Kilmacale House B&B is located mid-way between Kinsale & Clonakilty in the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way just off the R600 on road L6098. We are situated in Kilbrittain on the coastal route overlooking Courtmacsherry Bay. 20 minutes drive from Kinsale & 40 minutes drive from Cork Airport.
Kilbrittain is home to the Kilbrittain Castle, the oldest inhabited castle in Ireland & Coolmain Castle currently owned by the Disney family. On the 15th January 2009 a fin whale beached itself on Burren beach right in front of our house but unfortunately it did not survive. The skeleton of the Whale is now on display in our village 3 miles away. The Pink Elephant restaurant is only 1.5 miles away & Monks Lane restaurant is 3 miles away in the next village Timoleague. Courtmacsherry is a charming fishing & seaside village situated just across the bay from Kilmacale House. The coastal walks are a bird watchers paradise with many specifies of birds.
