Welcome to The Brown Hen Lodge, located 3 kms from Bandon Town & 20 kms from Cork City & Airport. The Lodge is adjacent to our family home with a shared garden & courtyard and has its own private entrance. ⁹ Whilst set in a countryside location (on a dairy farm) with panoramic views of the West Cork Vistas, it is ideally situated near a variety of restaurants, shops, pubs & visitor attractions. After you check into one of our comfortable, cosy bedrooms; you can enjoy a gorgeous meal at the Poachers Inn (highly recommended & 5 minutes drive from our home), sleep in a comfortable bed, enjoy a substantial continental breakfast (self service) in your bedroom the next morning and then explore everything Cork has to offer ! We hope you enjoy the peace & idyllic location of the Brown Hen, with its stylish decor, comfortable bedrooms & antique pieces that add a unique charm. Guests are helped in every way possible to make their stay most memorable & enjoyable, and we look forward to welcoming you to West Cork ! Hi, I'm Gwyneth ! I enjoy hosting guests from all over the world and welcoming you to our home. Escape to the country and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay at The Brown Hen, Bandon.
The Brown Hen Lodge & our home are 2 Kms outside Bandon. From here it is easy to explore the Wild Atlantic Way including the fishing village of Kinsale (20 minute drive), Clonakilty (15 minutes), Cork City (30 minutes) and Bantry (40 minutes). Cork Airport is (25 minutes drive) and guests have easy access to our beautiful coastline that surrounds us as well as various tourist attractions in and around Cork city, including Blarney Castle, the Jameson Distillery in Middleton, the Titanic Experience & Fota Wildlife Park both in Cobh. Bandon is a busy market town in West Cork and is a 5 minute drive from the Lodge. It has a good variety of pubs, restaurants (serving local produce), shops, a shopping centre, large grocery stores, etc. A car is essential to explore the local area.
