Company information

Our family is from Setrawa, a village based 103 km west of Jodhpur in the thar desert but we live in Jodhpur city. Our Grand Father built our residence in Jodhpur in 1961. At the moment we are a family of three generations living together in this home. Since 1991 we have been hosting foreign and national guests in our family. Since 2003 Mukta K. and Govind R. have been running the guesthouse. In year 2007 Govind R. founded a charitable organisation called Sambhali Trust to help with the Empowerment of Women and Children through primary education and vocational skills. In 2019 Family officially announced Dev Bagh, their family cottage in their village Setrawa for helping locals with employment and empowerment. We hope to host you on your stay in Jodhpur.

Property information

This household has always been welcoming guests and enjoying giving others hospitality for many years. We remember when we were very young boys our Grandpa hosted many parties of all the important local family including the Army, Police, Politicians and Royalty. We remember walking down the road being welcomed by the sound of laughter and music and we knew Grandpa was having another one of his parties! We have carried on this tradition ever since by welcoming guests and hoping that they experience some of the culture and traditions that happen throughout the year in an old traditional house including Diwali - festival of lights -, Holi - festival of colours - and many other celebrations. Our homestay is simple yet keeping in mind basic comforts to host Guests. Delicious home-cooked warm and cold meals available. We offer cooking lessons, visiting our projects for the empowerment of women and children(complimentary), you can join us for Bishnoi village excursion, Osian Desert excursion and to our own Dev Bagh, a cottage constructed by our Grandparents 103km west of Jodhpur towards Jaislmer, reserve relaible taxi service with us. Come and experience a home away from home.
