Tucked away near tropical Talpona and Palolem beaches in south Goa, Lua Cheia is an uber-luxe private villa retreat, with five elegant bedrooms, and a stunning swimming pool. A true escape from your stressful, busy life, Lua Cheia offers the perfect location for a holiday in paradise. Wake up slowly with a coffee or masala chai while listening to the conversations of the birds, and ease into the day where perhaps your only activity is relaxing by the pool with an excellent book selected from our library. Throw away your to do list, kick back and relax into the Goan pace of living - slow, sweet and never in a rush. Comfortable, chic and modern, Lua Cheia is built in the traditional Goan colonial style. The villa has a large wraparound veranda overlooking the lush tropical gardens of the 1,400 sq mt property. Although this villa is only a decade old, you will feel as though you've stepped back in time the minute you cross the threshold. During your stay, the Lua Cheia staff will be on hand to make sure you are as comfortable and spoilt as possible. Our guests come as strangers and leave feeling a part of our family. Whether you're traveling with family, friends, coworkers or your book club, Lua Cheia is the perfect base for pampering, wellness and exploration. We will be on hand throughout your stay to ensure you have everything you need and more.
Lua Cheia occupies a corner of unique beauty in a small fishing village. Away from the beaches and crowds, you will truly get a sense of Goan life during your stay. In the mornings, you can walk down to the local bakery to buy bread for breakfast. Our local, hole-in-the-wall chai shop is open throughout the day to satiate your desire for Indian comforts. In the evenings, stroll along the river to see fishermen checking their nets, watch the birds migrate to their nesting sites & catch the sunset over the jungle. While it is possible to walk to the beach, we can call tuktuks for those looking to enjoy a full day by the sea. Within 5-10 minutes, you can be basking on some of Goa's quietest, most pristine beaches, shopping at South Goa's hub in Palolem or relaxing in a beach shack. We have bicycles available for our guests to borrow if they would like to explore the area that way. For longer day trips or to get to beaches further afield, we can call reliable taxi drivers who will be happy to take you. Canacona is known as the last place in Goa that feels like the Goa of decades ago, before tourism took over. Join us in paradise to experience true susegad. Leave feeling refreshed.
