The agriturismo, which consists of two one-room flats and a bigger apartment, is located in the open country of Maremma near Grosseto, and is only 2.5 miles from the beach. The place is isolated, restful and silent. BBQ, bicycles, deck chairs and a cover parking lot are available for the guests. The agriturismo, surrounded by 12 ha of land, consists in two one-room flats and a bigger apartment, all of them situated at low ground. The guests will find a BBQ area, free bicycles, a covered parking lot, deck chairs where you can relax and tan. All of the apartments have air conditioning, their own independent kitchen and services and an outer covered veranda where it is possible to have your meals. The owner of the agriturismo lives on premise, helpful for all eventualities and willing to advise what to see during the day and where to eat and go at night.

The principal attraction at Prato Verde is the sea. The beach is a mere 4 km away, reachable by car (less than 5 minutes) or by bicycles provided by us. Chose between a free beach stretching 2 km surrounded by pristine nature, or the popular “bagnetti” equipped with lounge chairs, bathrooms and cafes. There are numerous surf schools nearby as well as many opportunities to go horseback riding among the pines on the shore. From the agriturismo one can also see the marvelous hills of the Parco Regionale della Maremma, the most important natural site in the province of Grosseto. The province Grosseto has one of the lowest population densities in Italy. The city of Grosseto (pop 70,000) is less than 10 minutes by car from the agriturismo. The Museum of Archeology is worth a visit, located in the historic center and surrounded by city walls which are among the few in Italy still standing in their entirety. The possibilities are endless for inland excursions in Maremma. Among charming hilltop “borghi”, each different from the last, are the beautiful Massa Marittima and Pitigliano (both accessible by car in less than an hour).
