The Agritourism is located on the sweet slopes of Friuli,near the famous city of S.Daniele d.F.The building dates back to the 1700 and used to be the ancient stabels of the nearby castle of Susans. We offer overnight stay in 4 spacious rooms-
Hello, I am Barbara and since 2001 I run the alloggio agrituristico. David and I with our 4 children live next door to the agriturismo. We speak several languages: English, Danish, German, a litle bit of French and Spanish. We love to meet new people
The nearest important town is San Daniele which sits high on the hill overlooking woods, fields and plains. It is internationally known for its library ‘La Biblioteca Guarneriana’. Established in 1466, it is famous for its priceless collection of over 160 rare manuscripts some of which date back to the 12th century (the most famous being Dante’s 14th century manuscript of the Divine Comedy). San Daniele is also home to the church of Sant’ Antonio with the late medieval frescoes by Pellegrino da San Daniele. ‘ L'Antica Scuderia del Castello” is situated about one and a half hours’ drive north of Venice. It is one hour from Ronchi Trieste airport and a half hour drive from Udine Train Station which is located near the ancient outer wall of the Udine city. During the long summer days there will be plenty of time for riding and relaxing or doing some local sightseeing. The surrounding area, with its numerous villages, churches and castles, is steeped in ancient history. Within short driving distance you can explore other important places including; Cividale – Caesar’s favourite town, Aquiliea – famous for its mosaics and roman ruins, Palmanova – the nine point star fortress town
