Our room "Avia," stems from a name choice that embodies deep meanings and affectionate ties to Sicilian tradition. In Latin, "Avia" means grandmother, a tribute to those precious figures who are custodians of family culture. In Sicilian, the expression "a via" translates to "the way," directly referencing our strategic location: we are situated on a street in the town, just steps away from a well-connected road that allows easy access to both the Ionian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. It also serves as a perfect base for visiting the beautiful nearby towns of Marzamemi, Noto, Portopalo, Ispica, Pozzallo, Rosolini.
The name "Avia" is not just a homage to grandmothers but also a celebration of our hospitality. In fact, "Avia" evokes the warmth of family tradition, a sense of welcome and familiarity that we strive to offer our guests. Furthermore, the name is also a tribute to our hosts, Flavia and Alessio, who will passionately ensure you feel right at home.
