Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish house surrounded by vineyards and woodland yet a short drive into San Damiano d’Asti and 10minutes to Govone. Suitable for those who want to explore the Roero, Langhe & Monferrato hills, by foot or by bike. We are within 10 minutes of Govone Castle, a winter wonderland at Christmas time, and 20-25 mins from the larger towns of Asti, where there is a Christmas market, and Alba, where the famous international truffle fair is held until the beginning of December. There are many beautiful small towns to visit in the surrounding areas, wonderful wines to try in the numerous wineries and delicious places to try typical piemontese food in most eateries.
We moved to Italy with our two young daughters in 2020 to this old farm house. We have finally renovated the barn into a comfortable space for others to enjoy, and now the larger project continues in the house we live in. When we are not enjoying our beautiful new home and making others feel welcome here, we enjoy exploring the wonderful places that surround us or go further afield to ski/snowboard. We also love travelling together. If there are any problems or you need some more information we will be very happy to help in person if we are home. If we are away we will be available to message or call should you need anything. Otherwise we shall leave you to enjoy your stay.
This is a tranquil area with rolling hills suitable for walking. A car is necessary to get to our house and parking is right next to the accommodation in a locked courtyard. We live in the house opposite the accommodation so we are available if needed. There are many wineries locally, beautiful churches and castles in historical towns nearby and many different footpaths to enjoy the countryside on foot, bike or e-bike. Truffle hunting is another interesting tour to try through the autumn and early winter months.
