The city of Orvieto is famous for its typically medieval historic center with imposing walls and particularly suggestive narrow streets to walk around at sunset. The numerous historical sites such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the churches, the historic buildings, the Pozzo of San Patrizio, the museums and the underground paths excavated by the Etruscans, offer a varied opportunity that is certainly unique in the world. The well-known gastronomic tradition can be tasted in the many restaurants of the historic centre, which can be easily explored by walking calmly through history.
