The Borgo is a "Historic Residence" dating back to the 13th century, located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Throughout its history it has served as a hostel for travelers and has hosted artisans. The Roslmair family, who began restoring their spaces in the 1970s, makes the structure available for educational, cultural and social activities.
We are a couple of artists (musician, performing arts). We have two kids (Yuval and Aviv) and we are passionate about music, art, life experience exchange, education. Borgo is the perfect place to meet, share and exchange life experiences.
The Borgo is located between the hills of Arezzo's Chianti and Chianti Classico. At a height of approximately 100m above sea level, it is surrounded by hills rich in woods, cultivations of vines and olive trees. It is 25 km from Arezzo, 20 from Siena, 60 from Florence and about 120 from the sea. The area is full of small lakes and streams. Historically it is an area that has numerous testimonies dating back to Roman times (churches, roads, infrastructures). You can reach the near by cities by train from Bucine's station, which can also be reached by bicycle. The hills, with their gentle curves and shaded paths, offer ample space for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. The area is full of small producers from which you can buy top quality wine, oil, honey, vegetables, cheese and fresh milk.
