The building and its historic garden were designed by Frank Brangwyn, and are complete with 13 panoramic terraces, 7 fountains, and rare plants. Each room at Casa Cuseni, Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale UNESCO has a balcony with views of the Naxos Gulf and Mount Etna. They all come with air conditioning and Sicilian furniture of the 17th and 18th centuries. Set in a listed villa, the interiors are decorated with works by Picasso, Henry Faulkner, and other masters of the 20th century. The list of famous guests includes philosopher Bertrand Russell, novelist Roald Dahl, and actress Greta Garbo. Sweet and savoury food can be enjoyed at breakfast, with gluten-free items available on request. This daily treat can be served in the breakfast room with views over Mount Etna or the Mediterranean Sea, or on the terrace when the weather is good.
