Property information

Casa Gelsomino is nestled in the heart of Modica, famous for its chocolate manufacturing and listed among the UNESCO’s Heritage Sites since 2002. Named after the wonderful jasmine that overlooks the whole terrace, it is located in an aristocratic palace dating back to the 19th century close to the Dome of San Giorgio. The house, which has kept its characteristic royal vaults and the old flooring after the renovation, is composed of a large living room, 1 double bedroom, another living room with a double sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen featuring oven and dishwasher and a bathroom with shower and laundry. Last but not least, a garden and a wonderful terrace, ideal for relaxing while having a glass of wine or sunbathing. The locally-made colorful ceramics characterize several rooms of the house, such as the kitchen and the bathroom, which is very peculiar due to the majolicas that entirely cover one of the walls.
