Solonghello is a comune in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 45 kilometres east of Turin. Casa Serena is a unique property in that it combines classic Italian furniture with fun retro flair all in a remarkable setting on a hillside of a tiny village surrounded by vineyards. We offer the opportunity to be close enough to see a soccer game in Torino or sightseeing in Milan and still train or drive home for the evening -- its the best of both worlds! Sharing my home with travelers offers a wonderful chance for people from around the world to experience just a bit of 'la dolce vita'. The sweet life is what I want to offer my guests with custom requests, morning breakfast, evening wine and helpful answers. The arrangement allows for ample privacy as well as excellent service.
Sitting on top of our hillside is a castle with stories to tell, just below the castle was once a gold factory and later a high-end jewelry business. Very nearby is a site for a historical pilgrimage, includes walking trails, nature reserve and multiple meaningful chapels with inspirational statues & art. There are other villages in the wine country that each offer their own benefits including magnificent views and local cuisine. Of course winery tours and multiple wine tastings are available seasonally. This hilly area is also a favorite for cyclists.
