Property information

Castello Maggiore is a very small hostel, ideal for a solo traveler or 2 people. Ideal for short stays as it has little space and there are no common rooms. It is a hostel to rest for one or two nights (which is recommended), so you will be comfortable. We have a maximum age of stay between 18 and 35 years as we prefer tourists and students who are in Rome for a while. We do not work with group reservations. Our motto is "we provide accommodation but manners come from home"

Neighbourhood information

The Esquilino district is located in front of the great Porta Maggiore, ancient ruins of Rome. It is a very busy area during the day because it is close to the San Giovanni hospital. In the area there are many bars, cafes, pizzerias, trattorias and so on, behind us is the San Lorenzo district, a bohemian district full of fun and young people. Also the large Termini train, metro and bus station is about 15 minutes away on foot, or 10 minutes by public transport.
