Our newly renovated Casa Bianca has all the charm of the old building in which it is located on the walls of the historic city center of Penne, but with modern amenities. We have retained the special architectural features found in this area (brick barrel ceilings, wooden beams, mosaic floor designs). There are beautiful views from the balcony and all main rooms. Casa Bianca is just steps from shopping, bars, and restaurants, and a short drive from beaches, mountains, olive groves and wineries.

I am a retired foreign language teacher from Saratoga Springs, NY, but I live in Italy. I love to travel, and have been almost all over the world. My husband, Fiore, is a native of Penne, Italy, and knowing LOTS of people, can help out with pretty much anything!

We are located in the “centro storico” or the historic part of the ancient city of Penne, whose founding predates Rome’s. The apartment is built just above the old city walls, and we have lovely views of the Majella and Gran Sasso mountains, as well as rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves. Casa Bianca is just a short walk from the center of town, with its cafés, restaurants, and shops. Our neighborhood is residential, with families who have lived here for many generations in the narrow, medieval streets. As stated, in other parts of the description, one can basically walk to everything in just a few minutes from the apartment. There is parking at the end of our street in a former monastery parking lot. If it is full, there is ample parking nearby, but it will be a short walk to get to it. If you have a car, it is approximately 30 to 40 minutes to the Adriatic coast, and to the large city of Pescara. It is approximately the same amount of time to the most popular hiking areas in the Gran Sasso and Majella parks.
