Ciasa Cimoliana (Sciasa Thimoliana nel dialetto del luogo) prende il nome dal torrente che attraversa Cimolais, il Cimoliana. Era una vecchia abitazione che abbiamo ristrutturato, abbiamo curato i dettagli nei minimi particolari per renderla accogliente e confortevole. I nostri ospiti apprezzano molto la casa, quando ripartono non mancano di farci i complimenti e ci dicono che si sono trovati molto bene. In casa non mancano le cose che solitamente si vanno a comperare quando si arriva in vacanza, il caffè, il te, lo zucchero, il sale, l'olio, l'aceto, i detersivi per la lavastoviglie e la lavatrice, insomma le cose di prima necessità. Anche questo viene molto apprezzato. Cosa molto importante è l'acqua del rubinetto. L'acqua di Cimolais viene imbottigliata come u'ottima acqua minerale. Ai nostri ospiti diciamo che possono tranquillamente bere l'acqua del rubinetto, acqua minerale. Quindi non occorre andare ad acquistare l'acqua in bottiglie, basta aprire il rubinetto.
Siamo una coppia che ha trascorso moltissimo tempo in montagne, camminate, arrampicate, nostra figlia ha trascorso molto tempo tra queste montagne alle prese con la tesi sull'aquila reale. Noi l'abbiamo seguita e ci siamo innamorati di questi bellissimi posti. innamorati al tal punto da farci decidere di acquistare e ristrutturare una casa come base per le nostre escursioni. Gli anni passano e ci si accorge che il tempo delle arrampicate è solo un bellissimo ricordo, da qui l'idea di trasformare la nostra casa vacanze per noi in una casa vacanze per altri amanti di escursioni, arrampicate e tutto quello che la montagna offre si suoi appassionati
Le Dolomiti Friulane con la spettacolare vetta del Campanile di Val Montanaia sono ora divenute Patrimonio dell'Unesco. Da Cimolais si imbocca la strada che si snoda per circa 17 chilometri lungo la Val Cimoliana che porta al rifugio Pordenone, Dal rifugio si può ammirare la vista del Campanile, rifocillarsi e, volendo, iniziare il sentiero che porta fino ai piedi della vetta, Bivacco Perugini. I più temerari iniziano l'arrampicata che è per veri esperti. Il Parco Faunistico di Cimolais permette la visita per ammirare cervi e caprioli, La pista ciclabile offre la possibilità di lunghe pedalate immersi nella quiete del paesaggio montano. A pochi passi dalla casa si trova il parco acquatico creato per i bambini, con scivoli e altalene. Per i genitori ci sono tavoli, panchine e griglie dove è possibile cucinare.
