In one of the oldest Walser areas, reachable only by a 5 minutes walk from the parking lot. Recently renovated. Spaces are well designed, ideal for families or friends who like to chill together. Not indicated for people with walking difficulties. The structure was build in the 16th century...Walser people were short so ceilings are lower than standard. Be ready to take care of the fireplace (pellet) and be parsimonious with hot water. City center 1 Km away . In winter a free ski shuttle is available.
Virginia is traveling abroad most of the year for professional reasons, while Margherita is spending most of her time in Alagna. We are both passionate about the authenticity of walser architecture and way of leaving. Book with us and allow yourself to live a unique experience away from everything and yet very close to the center of town and the ski resort, and with (almost) all comforts.
Ronco is one of the oldest villages built by the Walser population around Alagna. Not reacheable by car, although it is a short walk uphill from the main road. You can explore the historical architecture just by walking outside the door. Some of the great hikes start right from Ronco. There is a restaurant just 5 minutes away (in the Frazione Pedemonte), while for all other services you will have to walk or drive to the center of Alagna. There is a common parking area that is free, just down the road. To make the best of your experience, and if you are fit, once parked, just leave it there and walk around for your entire stay.
