Domu Irene is an apartment located in the historic center of Triei, 9 km from Baunei and 9 km from the first seaside resort Santa Maria Navarrese, rich in beaches and a tourist port where you can embark to discover the wonderful Ogliastra coves, first of all Cala Goloritzè. Ideal for couples; small families who want to disconnect from the hectic city life and enjoy breathtaking views that characterize the territory. A journey to discover flavors, traditions and legends, a perfect combination of sea and mountains. It enjoys an ideal location as the most beautiful beaches of Ogliastra can be reached in a few minutes by car. The apartment has simple, modern and welcoming lines, an equipped kitchen and a large terrace ideal for outdoor dining in the evening, especially on the hottest days. Inside the small town there is a minimarket, a pharmacy, a pizzeria and some small restaurants. IDEAL FOR A RELAXING HOLIDAY!

Neighbourhood information

A small Ogliastra center near Baunei, in central-eastern Sardinia, with splendid landscapes, ancient traditions, remarkable prehistoric heritage and delicacies. In its admirable landscape, plains and hills alternate, covered with lush forests of holm oaks, cork oaks, carob trees and thick Mediterranean scrub, which host martens and mouflons, golden eagles and falcons. In spring, its countryside is dressed in the intense yellow of broom flowers. Agriculture is the driving sector, especially viticulture from which an excellent Cannonau derives. Beekeeping is also renowned: fine qualities of honey are obtained, including the bitter strawberry tree honey. The cuisine is characterized by genuine products and ancient recipes: culurgiones, macarrones de busa, pistoccu incasau, is tacculas with myrtle, roasts of lamb, goat and suckling pig. Among the artisan artifacts, carpets and bedspreads woven with hand looms, wicker baskets and bone arresojas stand out.
